We didn’t set out to build courses. We set out to buy a rental that would pay for itself, and then to run it well enough that people came back. That took ten years, two countries and 586 guest reviews. It also took a manager who let us down, a fridge that died on a Saturday, and a deal we nearly bought before the numbers told us to walk.

We ran all of it together. There was never a split where Ken handled the numbers and Moya handled the guests — we both underwrote the deals, both cleaned the units, both answered the midnight messages, both took the call when something broke. That’s why the courses teach both sides. We each did both.

Ken came up through hospitality — host, server, bartender, restaurant floors — and owned and operated a live music venue. Moya taught before she spent years as a full-time nanny. Two jobs that are really the same job: noticing what someone needs before they ask for it. That is most of guest experience, and it is why our reviews read the way they do.

We’re operators, not gurus. We won’t promise you riches — we’ll teach you how to think about a deal and how to run a stay, so you can make your own good decisions long after the course is over.
